HONEST Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer reviews are hard to find online. You get a bunch of paid marketing blurbs or worthless websites that throw general product information at you and then ALWAYS follow up with how great of a buy the product is.
Well, if you’re sick of not being able to find a single legitimate review, then it’s NHP to the doggone rescue again! (skip intro & jump to Sutra reviews)
And don’t worry…
This isn’t some reverse schill for Dyson’s supersonic hair dryer either, that thing cost waaaaay too much money when premium blow dryers like Babyliss Pro brand, GHD or RUSK hair tools exist for far cheaper prices.
Let’s get ready for some real talk in this Sutra Accelerator 2000 hair dryer review. I believe you will be surprised at what I learned about this look-alike dupe blower…
BONUS REVIEW ALERT: There's also a newer Dyson Supersonic knockoff hair dryer called Adagio accelerator 2000, which looks to be identical to Dyson and the Sutra accelerator 2000 blow dryer.
If you’re looking for the discussion of Adagio accelerator 2000 blow dryer vs Dyson Supersonic, we talk about Adagio (Dyson dupes)too. Jump down to Sutra Accelerator 2000 Blow Dryer Reviews…
Let's talk about all important features of Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer which supposedly make it so special.
This Dyson dupe styling tool comes with a diffuser - an attachment which helps to tame frizz which SHOULD make it a great blow dryer for 4C textured natural hair.
This frizz control technology is not unique to the Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer, it’s commonly known and used es[ecially by people who have natural curly hair. It gives your hair a natural bounce, where ordinary hair dryers flatten your hair curls or hair volume.
The Sutra 2000 package also includes two flat nozzles which are meant to give you a great salon-quality blowout.
After reading these honest Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer reviews you will be able to:
The sad truth is… Most of the Sutra 2000 reviews stink like burnt hair…
OK, so I am up front letting you know that most of the reviews for this blow dryer say that it’s highly overrated.
Still though, you’ll see that some of these bad reviews came from people not understanding how to control the heat functions.
Even still:
That can be called a design flaw because so many people think that the heat function is broken. Take a look at these frustrated Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer reviews.

I felt is was important to show you the purchase of Julia who wanted a good Dyson dupe, she wasn't impressed... Although the blowing power was undisputable.
See what she said about her purchase...
She ended up selling the Dyson knock-off and dreaming about one day havin enough money to buy the real deal...
... she also got some frustrated questions about the Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer from Maria...
This is the "cold air button problem" I was telling you about. (More on that later...)
"NOT a good hair dryer. My husband purchased this for me and it does not blow any warm or hot air. It's all cold. Not impressed. No website to contact them and Amazon is not carrying it so there are no reviews. Would not recommend it."
- KM Allen
OK, so this review had nothing to do with not getting hot enough, in fact the dryer burned up.
There was a durability issue with the Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer, not good at all.
So, here was a clarification of the common hot/cold issue many Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer reviews have complained about.
Jennifer had the exact same problem but figured out the problem. This issue was due to an uncommon configuration of the controls, you need to press the button on the handle to make it switch to the hot setting.
Yeah, it was weird to find this one out. The controls on the Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer are basically in the reverse position of normal hair dryers where you’d press the button in the front to make it cold.
On this hair dryer that’s what makes it hot. I was so amused to see that she was freezing her butt off until she figured it out.

"Got mine today. We also have the Dyson hair dryer. They are not the same. They simply ripped off the “design” of the dyson. This one is heavier, doesn’t have the same speeds, the motor is not in the handle. Cord is not as long. Seems to get plenty hot though."

And finally, one of the few positive Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer reviews, there aren't many that I've seen online.
The Sutra hair dryer vs Dyson battle continues mainly because Dyson is notorious for being over-the-top expensive.
Even still:
I’ve seen many customer reviews justify the hefty price tags on Dyson blowers due to the new-age ergonomic design and quality of their hair tool products. Yes, the Dyson Supersonic blow dryer will burn a hole in your wallet but I’ve also seen that it dries amazingly fast, it’s ultra light-weight and professional salons trust it to leave your hair extremely soft and smooth.
Is it really worth the splurge though given that there are more affordable alternatives in the market like the Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer? To help you decide for yourself, here’s an in-depth blow dryer comparison, taking into consideration their design, attachments, and styling performance.
As I posted with the chart above, you could see that the Dyson Supersonic blow dryer has 1600 watts while the Sutra Accelerator 2000 is less powerful with only 1400 watts. Although 200 watts may not have a noticeable effect when you are using these two blow dryers, it still means Dyson’s hair dryer packs a bigger punch and has more power to use.
Dyson hair dryer is famous for its extremely precise airflow control system. Also, as I mentioned in the article about “how hot do blow dryers get?”, the Dyson blow dryer gives you 4 heat settings and 3-speed settings that can be controlled separately.
The Sutra Accelerator 2000 dryer takes a major loss here with its average airflow buttons.
Both Sutra Accelerator 2000 and Dyson hair dryers have overheat protection.
The big difference is that Dyson Supersonic intelligent heat control is more advanced because the temperature sensor will detect overheating and automatically lower the current temperature, protecting your hair from being burnt. As I’ve shown in a previous article, the Dyson Supersonic dryer also boasts ionic technology.
Price aside, the quality battle is clearly won by Dyson over Sutra Accelerator 2000.
Let’s talk about that STEEP price though, because I aint rich. I don’t know about you!
Sutra has one advantage over Dyson – price. As a fashionable bladeless hair dryer, Sutra Accelerate 2000 is half the price of Dyson Supersonic.
You might think it’s a bargain finding this bladeless dryer at a friendly price, even more so when there is a promotion deal, which are often cheaper on holidays or special festivals.
Without a doubt, I’ve seen that according to reviews the Sutra Accelerator 3500 hair dryer is a better blower than the Sutra Accelerator 2000 version.
It’s a higher-quality lightweight blow-dryer with ionic technology that helps maintain the integrity of the hair.
Ionic technology helps eliminate frizz and flyaways and dries hair fast and efficiently without the damage caused by heat tools.
Sutra Accelerator 3500 Blow Dryer Features:
Customers seem to be in agreement that the 3500 Sutra dryer is far more popular. Take a look at more reviews of the 3500 at Amazon if you were thinking about wasting money on the Sutra Accelerator 2000 hair dryer.
The price point is also lower, so you get more than what you pay for. If Sutra is the brand you want, turn to the 3500 version for shiny, voluminous salon-quality blowouts.
The Sutra Accelerator 3500 blow dryer works on all hair types to dry, smooth and style damp hair.
Now, it’s time to talk about a knockoff of a dupe, we’re really going down the rabbit hole now…
I decided that it’d be best if I told you that “Breezy Curls” didn’t completely dry her hair (on purpose), she got it to about 95% dry and let it air dry from that point. I agree with this method. She felt that if she kept drying until the hair was 100 percent dry it would've caused excess frizz.
She also used Redken frizz Dismiss, she used this heat protectant serum as a finishing product.
Now that I gave you our NHP reviews clarification of her drying procedure, you can check out her Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer review video right here. If you don’t have time for a video, I quoted what she said below…
Here's Breezy Curlz Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer review:
“This isn't my first time using the Sutra. I've had other results that aren't as good. I think that it's a great blow dryer. I think for curly hair it's nice that the diffuser is so big, and if you have thicker hair it may be better for you.
But since my hair is so thin I think that the lowest speed setting could be a little lower. Even at the lowest speed setting it feels like there's too much air blowing out my curls and you can kind of see like it's already kind of frizzy right there a little bit. I don't think I diffused too long, it’s still a little damp in some areas, it'll get a little bigger once it dries.
Overall, I think it's a great blow dryer but not really for me and my curls. Like I said, the speed setting is just a little bit too strong even at the lowest setting. So, it’s a good blow dryer, just not the best for me personally.
My curls are very thin and it kind of blows them around too much, they're not bad but usually they're a little more defined than this so that's just something to keep in mind it's a little too frizzy for me it created a little too much frizz.”
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, I guess… So Sutra Accelerator fans may wonder why is the Adagio Accelerator 2000 Blow Dryer so similar to the Sutra 2000?
Well, they saw the success that Sutra had success being a lower-quality duplicate of Dyson and they decided to become a higher-quality dupe of Sutra!
At a lower price point than the Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer, Adagio can become a problem for the Dyson dupe.
If you want to see how Adagio's reviews rank higher than Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer reviews, check their ratings out at Amazon.
The Adagio Accelerator 2000 blow dryer is a good economical choice when constant trips to the salon to get a professional blowout aren’t really in the budget.
All you’ll need is some time to blow-dry, and maybe a trusty banana clip while you get to work.
Customers are loving the ease, convenience, and price of the Adagio Accelerator 2000 blow dryer.
Adagio buyer Marissa raved, “LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I can’t imagine spending over $600 on the Dyson and saw this ad and figured lets try it…well it works great! Super lightweight, different heads and doesn’t fry my hair out. Great for when I want my hair straight and the diffuser works great for my curly days!”
I hope I’ve clearly shown you that there are better options than the Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer.
If you want to stick with the Sutra brand the better blower is their Sutra Accelerator 3500 blow dryer option.
If you just like the look of their Sutra 2000 dryer, your better option would be the Adagio Accelerator 2000 blow dryer (which is often priced cheaper).
Well, that’s it! NHP is always here for you with honest reviews for better or worse. I did my best to show you what people truly felt about past purchases, I hope these Sutra Accelerator 2000 blow dryer reviews helped a bit.
