In today's post I'm going to show you exactly what type 4 hair naturals think about TGIN curl bomb on 4C hair. See...
These reviews are from REAL 4C hair honeys. Ya feel me?
As you know, we don't sugarcoat the reviews. So if you notice that the reviews are not as good as you would like to see, please...
....don't get upset, and always remember:
These reviews are specifically talking about how these products are affecting women with type 4C hair, these aren't "in general" reviews. These are specific to 4C hair. Good?
Great!
Because:
We are always going to be honest with you about what we've found as far as 4C hair product reviews are concerned.
So let's Dive Right In.
So as you may know, we at naturalhair-products.com are in love with TGIN natural hair products and I wrote about if TGIN is good for 4C hair or naw.
Still:
That doesn't mean that we're going to hide the truth when some 4C naturals are telling us that they don't like a specific product. Like this TGIN curl bomb review from the gorgeous Orianna...
She doesn't feel like it held up to it's promise of leaving her hair truly moisturized...
These TGIN curl bomb gel reviews are rather mixed, it's not all negative though.
Still:
We pride ourselves on showing you what the real is, for example…
The main two complaints about this TGIN Curl Bomb gel are:
So let's talk about it sis...
As you read above, of the main complaints that we saw from women with 4C hair is that the TGIN Curl Bomb gel made their hair crunchy.
So we'll show you some of those comments and afterwards show you how some 4C hair honeys are remedying the situation.

So here is one tgin curl bomb Gel review from a commenter on Mary Maxine's YouTube page...
By the way:
Mary Maxine is a bubbly, cute 4C hair girl who actually loves the TGIN curl bomb gel, you should check her out on her channel ...
But one of the reviewers who was influenced to buy the gel because of Mary's video said this …
And Mary gave her some advice that we often hear about using TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair, and that's to also use the TGIN argan oil hair serum to remove some of the crunchiness of the hair …
Here's the thing:
Alot of other TGIN Curl Bomb Moisturizing Styling Gel reviewers said the same thing, they mentioned that it was crunchy until applying oil, and then the crunch disappeared.
But if you don’t know that, you’ll be upset, ya know?
You don't know what you don't know.
Shoot, some folks out here still didn't even know that TGIN made the curl bomb gel. Ha!
Here’s another honest review from a 4C natural about TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair who loves all the other TGiN products except for the Curl Bomb gel...
Still though:
The news about TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair isn't all bad...
Earlier, I told you about Mary Maxine and how she has a YouTube channel for real 4C hair women. And she loves the TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair although she also thinks the product is a bit expensive.
By the way:
Mary has low porosity hair 4C (and some 4B) hair, so take note of that if you are also a low porosity girl. It's important.
Here's what she liked about the TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair:
Now remember:
Mary has low porosity hair so that’s likely the reason she barely used any product, so it's going to last a long time.
And she knows that she doesn't need heavy products.
That's one of the advantages of knowing your hair porosity, understanding how to use products to your advantage.
That way you're really able to get your money's worth out of 4C hair products.
She use both TGIN Twist and Define cream and the TGIN curl gel, she felt like she can get probably 6 wash and goes out of the two products together.
One "con" is that if you're a cheap natural you might not want to spend the money on TGIN products because they are a little bit pricey.
MARY’S PRO TIPS: She clamps her sections of hair to elongate her curls when doing using TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair wash n go’s, that's a good tip for type 4 honeys. She also air-dried her hair for an hour and then diffused it.
I'll tell you this, it was not easy to find TGIN reviews from women with 4C hair.
Still:
Here we are for you, posting literally every review we found about TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair on this page for you.
For example...
...here's one review from a 4C who got mad longevity out of her wash-n-go, even though she isn't too excited about the price either, LOL.
Also, one of the ladies over at Lipstick Alley with 4C hair and a 4A crown liked TGIN Curl Bomb on her 4C hair but still not as much as Gorilla Snot for maximum hold. It's good to know that is not runny or sticky too...
There was another review From Lipstick Alley that only said “I have 4C hair and it worked pretty well on my hair".
Problem is:
She didn't give any details though, so we didn't her review for you to see here.
The next TGIN curl bomb on 4c hair review will give you a little bit more detail though, so I'll show that one from Angela Mosby below for you, take a look...
Interestingly:
As further proof that not all 4C people have the same hair, here are two TGIN reviews from women who bought the TGIN Curl Bomb gel for their 4C hair daughters...
...one mom loved TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair and the other didn't. Go figure...

Not enough hold on this gel...
Hold on though, because:
Now remember:
These reviews are 4C-hair specific, and not all 4C hair is the same.
Also...
While we were studying reviews we noticed that many women with 3C and 4A hair love the Curl Bomb gel product more than most 4Cs we saw.
So, the overall vibe that I picked up from the TGIN reviews for 4C hair was that it was not the best choice for 4C hair ladies.
And that's weird, because:
The rest of the TGIN natural hair product line is beloved by 4C hair women.
Hey:
It is what it is, sis. So check this out...
Here are some of the main pros and cons that we noticed:
PROS:
And here are the cons of using TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair…
CONS:
PRO TIP: The TGIN Twist & Define cream is a great candidate for doing a one product twist out braid out or wash-n-go on 4C hair. Because it's very moisturizing and it smells amazing.
A “keep it real” type sista named Linda Lynn on Youtube made some very interesting points about TGIN curl bomb on her type 4 hair.
She lives in New Orleans and her wash and goes don't last a week in that humid climate, She found it to be not very humidity-friendly.
She did make the point clear though:
If you don't mind doing a CO-wash every week or if you don't mind washing your hair twice a week then it may work for you, and you may be fine.
She wasn't about that life though.
What about you?
If you have kinky coily hair you might not feel like washing your hair 2 or 3 times a week just to refresh and redo your curls.
If you do have the time...
...then handle that sis. But most don't have time to be reapplying a product 2 or 3 times a week.
Also:
Some naturals say that using TGIN Curl Bomb Styling gel isn't much different than using aloe vera gel.
And:
Too many people reported the snowflakes, flakes coming off and getting on their clothes, although that does have something to do with your hair porosity.
Another good reason why you need to know what your hair porosity is.
And even though most TGIN natural hair products are just the bomb...
...and many naturals are very willing to spend the money on their products because of the results that they get.
Look sis:
TGIN Curl Bomb Moisturizing Styling gel for true 4C's might not be the product for you.
It seems that there are better options out there for you than TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair.
Still though:
If you decide to give it a whirl, we'll explain to you how to use The TGIN Curl Bomb for the best results...
So, how do you use TGIN Curl Bomb?
Here's your answer:
PRO TIP: Shingling your hair causes your 4C kinks to clump better than raking, you can also do a hybrid of the two techniques to save time versus doing pure shingling when short on time. Don't know the difference between raking and shingling, go see the video further down this page...
Once you are finished with all of these steps on how to use TGIN Curl bomb for a 4C wash and go, let your hair dry out if you have the time. some 4 C's choose to use a diffuser to speed up the process.
Once your hair has dried, in order to lessen crunchiness you can break the gel cast with TGIN Argan Oil replenishing Hair & Body serum.
Do you have to use TGIN’s Argan Oil Hair serum? Honestly, no.
You can use any high-quality argan oil, but you’ll love TGIN’s argan oil hair & body serum when trying TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair…

PRO TIP: Start at the back of your head, because if you start at the front when doing a wash and go it makes the process more difficult because you’ll have hair in your face and it makes the styling process harder for you to control.
NOW:
Keep in mind that wash-n-go's require alot of manipulation which makes kinky-textured type 4 hair more prone to more tangles when using TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair. Sooo...
To fight against tangles, it's best to keep your hair stretched during the process.
If you're looking for natural hairstyles that don't require as much manipulation when using TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair, it's probably better to do a twist out, flat twist, updo, etc.
FINAL NOTE: During this process of using TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair, apply it from roots to ends. Be sure to separate your hair as you're applying. Once the product is applied you can wear your hair out or style it as you please. Twistouts and braidouts add extra curl definition when using TGIN curl bomb.
Shingling vs Raking to Define Your 4C Curls
Here is the Ingredients list for TGIN Curl Bomb Moisturizing Styling Gel:
As we mentioned in the article about "Is TGIN Good for 4C Hair?", you don't have to worry about the product ingredients when using TGIN Curl Bomb on 4C hair, they are always high quality. You can see more reviews of TGIN Curl Bomb here.
And although you can't claim that these products are “all natural” ,the same probably goes for every bottle of product you have on your shelf if they have any commercial preservatives in them.
Still though:
TGIN does far better than most hair product companies as far as the amount and quality of natural ingredients they pack into their natural hair products for 4C honeys.
